American River Music Fest Update

Awhile back I mentioned that folks who participate in the American River music and rafting package might get serenaded on the river bank and…….
It’s true! I just found out that Joe Craven will do a jam session on the river! A few weekends back I happened to get a double dose of Joe Craven’s music–he played at a local wedding I was lucky enough to attend, and then he played at the American River Trailfest. So I feel pretty confident in saying that if you like folk music you shouldn’t miss this guy. I was struck with his stage presence and his vocal virtuosity as well as his music. Somehow he can evoke the bayou, hot nights in Rio, a good old-fashioned hoe down, and a lazy blues session all in one dance-filled night. Oh–and after all that he’ll rap and play a jawbone.
