California Rivers Flow Update

September 15th, 2008 by Malina

Sunny skies, warm breezes, and rustling leaves have been providing a beautiful backdrop to our two most popular–and longest running–rivers, the good ol’ South Fork and Middle Forks of the American.   Each of these tried and true runs have plenty of gas in the tank.  Weekend flows on the South Fork have even been a little more exciting and higher lately. The river has still been a solid class III, but the water is flowing a little faster and the rapids have a little more kick–point is, it may be late in the summer, but rafting conditions are ideal.

We’ll have lots of water for South Fork trips into October, but the Middle Fork of the American will see its last rafting trip September 27th; start planning now if you want to see some class IV whitewater or a multi-day wilderness rafting trip coming your way this fall.
