The Merced River is one of our favorite springtime runs because it’s one of the best introductions to Class IV (more advanced) white water rafting. This federally protected Wild and Scenic River is located just outside of Yosemite National Park and can be rafted in one or two days. The Merced is a popular river for California tourists because of it’s proximity to Yosemite. Last spring we filmed a Merced River rafting video that you can watch here:

The Kaweah River is one of the more exciting and lesser-known white water rafting runs in California. Located just a few hours from Los Angeles, the Kaweah River is a one-day Class IV river with non-stop action and beautiful scenery. You can watch our video of the Kaweah River from last spring:

Last week we launched some new California rafting videos, shot on our river trips last summer. We just added another one, of Cherry Creek, a river one of our guests described as “transcendent and transformative.”

Whether you’re an arm-chair adventurer or the real deal, check out our new video, which gives you a virtually-guided tour of the Class-V extravaganza that is the AO Cherry Creek trip. We’ve been out on the Creek since the 1980s, and even though we love family-friendly rivers like the South Fork, there are some of us that pretty much live for Cherry Creek I am not one of those people, because I am a wimp, but even I love the video.

This is a rafting video from the Middle Fork American 2-Day Trip on July 21-22, 2007. The video is a great example of how much fun a 2-day bachelor party rafting trip can be. They were able to get an adrenaline fix on the Class IV rapids during the day (Tunnel Chute was the overall favorite), navigate the Class II rapids on their own in the inflatable kayak, and enjoy a fun evening in camp complete with a campfire and late-night s’mores.
