New B&B for American River Rafters

room_specials1Just got back from a tour of the Coloma-Lotus area’s newest B&B and I gotta tell you, if I wasn’t a local and would therefore feel silly as all get out taking a vacation 5 minutes from my house, I would book a night at the Eden Vale Inn for tomorrow.

If by B&B you’re thinking dusty rose coverlets, fragrant potporri, and lacy curtains think again-eden_exper_pond1-the Eden Vale has broken the mold.  The innkeepers have lovingly–painstakingly, I’d say–remodeled an historic barn and turned it into a tranquil, elegant, and modern accomodation surrounded by gorgeous gardens, a trout pond, and local views.  I want to move in!

For rafters on the American River, whether the South Fork or the Middle Fork of the American River the location is just fantastic.  The Eden Vale is literally 5 minutes down the road from the AO River Center.

Oh–and did I mention the rates are actually really reasonable and include a full breakfast?  Check out their website and make a reservation.  You might see me in the morning–I’ll be the one hogging all the scones and trying move all my personal belongings in……
