This September the good folks at American River Inc. are hosting a music festival along the banks of the South Fork of the American
River
in the beautiful Coloma-Lotus Valley. World class musicians will grace several stages (including intimate evening venues for ticket holders staying at event camp grounds!) and local food and wine makers will keep concert goers fed and watered throughout the day. There will also be fun stuff like CDs, t-shirts, and art you can browse at your leisure.

The multi-day event begins on September 21st with a whitewater rafting trip hosted by yours truly. Save $10 off the full package price when you follow this link and enter in the code “aorafting 2007” when you purchase your tickets online.

The music kicks off on Saturday at Henningson-Lotus
Park in Lotus, where you’ll hear the music of folks like Joe Craven and Rita Hoskings and boogie to the world-fusion rhythms of Akimbo! Later in the evening concert-goers with camping passes will enjoy smaller concerts with singers Laurie Lewis and The Dreamsicles. Shuttles to the different venues (all within the valley) are provided to pass holders so you can easily catch the gigs of your choice. This is just a partial list of the performers on the roster—for a complete list and a detailed schedule please visit the American River Music Festival website. You can also purchase tickets for the festival, camping and the full package—including a rafting trip on Friday with All-Outdoors—there as well.

If you’re not familiar with some of the musicians sceduled to perform you can hear clips of their music on the festival website!
