Wine Tasting on the American River July 19th
Posted June 28, 2008 by MalinaIt takes all kinds: some of us are dyed-in-the-wool adventurers, undaunted by blazing sun, blood-sucking insects, raging waters and the blackest mud, others have mastered instead the class V art of crab forks, fine-art appreciation, and Wagner’s Ring Cycle. Myself, I’m somewhere in between–give me a long day in the wilderness but toss that dehydrated beef stew and freeze-dried strawberry pie or whatever it is in the river and get me a real fork! I can forgo a shower or two but come on–good food is king. Go ahead and roll your eyes, but can you honestly tell me that a day of whitewater rafting won’t work up a heck of an appetite? And maybe give you a little bit of a workout? Does anything really sound better than to follow that up with some seriously tasty food and delicious Sierra Foothill wine served under the shade of a 150 year old oak tree? The dream can be yours–gather your friends and join our rafting and winetasting trip July 19th. For more info call us at 1 800 24 RAFTS (ask for Diana or Claudette) or email me at: malina@aorafting.com. Prost!
