Great News for Folsom Lake Reservoir–and California Rivers

Posted March 23, 2012 by Malina

So literally a few days ago water experts were looking at Folsom Lake, shaking their heads, and pretty much throwing up their hands–the lake was literally at 31% of normal for this time of year.  That’s not cool by anyone’s standards.  Luckily for all of us, these latest storms were the Hail Mary we were all praying for–we are now at 96% of normal at Folsom Lake.  How’s that for a last-minute turn around?  These numbers mean some serious water has been flowing in the American Rivers canyons.  Thank you Mother Nature……

See the dramatic graph (if you’re into that sort of thing) at the California Dept of Water Resources. Pretty stark.
